Kim Fancher Lordier
Kim is one of the finest pastel artists I have had the good fortune to work with. Her work is rich and expressive. Personally, she is as genuine and wonderful as her work. I highly recommend her workshops--she is a generous and nurturing teacher. She works very hard and expects the same commitment from her students. It's hard work but love every minute. I learned so much from the week I spent with Kim and others at the Chileno Valley Ranch where new friendships blossomed.
-
Ron Flemmings
Ron is a dear friend and gifted artist. His work speaks for itself. Take a look, you'll be glad you did.
-
Albert Handell
Albert Handell is a classic. He has written several books, of which I recommend Painting the Landscape in Pastel which he wrote with Anita West, another gifted artist.
-
Richard Schmid
Richard Schmid is a living master. I had the good fortune to watch him paint and receive direction at my easel. It was truly once in a lifetime experience. His book titled, Alla Prima: Everything I Know About Painting should be at hand in every artist's studio.

Terry Ludwig Pastels
Terry Ludwig Pastels is at the top of my list because of the uncombable customer service they provide. Terry and Kristen are great to work with and they'll make sure you get exactly what you're looking for. I love Terry's pastels. They're rich, buttery and the colors are perfect. Try his set of Greens--gorgeous!

EASyL Plein Air Easel
After retiring my Jullian full box easel, I purchased the EASyL easel. It's light weight and versatile. I used it for pastels until my palette outgrew its capacity. Now, I use my EASyL for oils. It's a great product for any medium.
